Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Having completed the London Marathon on the 22nd April, I have now added further running events to ensure I meet my target sponsorship of £2000.00 for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. I completed the Titchmarsh 10k Road Race on the 6th May, and the Fat Feet Woodland Half Marathon in Bourne on the 10th June. My last long-distance road run will be the Great Eastern run (Peterborough Half Marathon) on the 14th October...I also have a Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation stand at the Thrapston Charter Fair on the 30th June...

As some of you may know, my Dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer nearly 3 years ago. True to form, he has battled it ever since, and still, at the age of 88, he is soldiering on and still able to carry out most of his household chores, and enjoy the odd day out with the family. He is one of the lucky ones, as many people with this awful disease don't last as long as he has.

I couldn't be more proud of him, and wanted to do something to show my appreciation of him, and of the other people suffering from this disease, but also to try to help the many Doctors, Scientists and Carers trying to help to cure the disease or alleviate the suffering of those that have it. Any donation of any amount is much appreciated, a huge thank you to all of those that have contributed already to help fight this disease and care for those that have it. Martin..
